This course focuses on allergic disease. It begins with an introduction to allergic disesase, proceeding to the diagnosis of allergy. A number of allergies are then discussed in depth, including Urticaria, Angiodema, Egg allergy, including the MMR vaccine and egg allergy, Cow's Milk allergy, Peanut allergy, and Allergic Rhinitis. The course is delivered using a series of lectures, a skin prick test demonstration, GP/Patient scenario videos, a case study on a surgery managing patients with allergies, and an Epipen demonstration.

This course has been developed by Dr David Edgar, consultant immunologist for the Belfast Trust.
