Northern Ireland Medical & Dental Training Agency
The Northern Ireland Medical and Dental Training Agency (NIMDTA) is responsible for funding, managing and supporting postgraduate medical and dental education within the Northern Ireland Deanery. It provides a range of services for those engaged in the delivery of postgraduate Medical and Dental education and training.
This course follows the general practice experience of managing a patient who has advancing breast cancer. There are twelve video scenarios which are seen through the eyes of the patient's GP. The course illustrates the realities of handling end of life care in the community.
This course focuses on allergic disease. It begins with an introduction to allergic disesase, proceeding to the diagnosis of allergy. A number of allergies are then discussed in depth, including Urticaria, Angiodema, Egg allergy, including the MMR vaccine and egg allergy, Cow's Milk allergy, Peanut allergy, and Allergic Rhinitis.
This course is aimed at the general dental practitioner and the subject matter covers common restorations which the dental practitioner has to carry out on a daily basis. Course topics include composite resin materials, resin bonded bridgework, and discussion on how to maximise aesthetics for dental patients today.
